All kinds of filter materials have certain characteristics, and also have their shortcomings. Natural fibers (such as cotton, linen, silk, Mao Xianwei) and synthetic fibers (such as nylon, polypropylene, polyester, Nomex...) have good resistance to flexural and wear resistance, but their temperature resistance is poor, and the use of these filters must be strictly controlled. The use of over temperature makes the bag shrink quickly or even burn out, which will affect the service life. Glass fiber filter material is continuous glass fiber filter cloth, expanded yarn filter cloth, or needle felt filter material. From the micro point of view, it is cylindrical surface smooth bar like material, so its resistance to flexural and abrasion resistance and wear resistance are poor. Its molecular structure is mainly composed of tetrahedron of silicon oxygen bond and high bond energy, so its temperature resistance is good. Glass fiber filter material must be treated by surface chemical treatment in order to improve its flexural resistance, abrasion resistance, and so on. In the process of use, the glass fiber filter must prevent it from dragging, pedaling or rubbing with hard objects on the rough ground during the process of packaging, transportation and installation. The support ring must be smooth, welding points must be soldered and lit, and no hair defects must be dissoldered so as not to wear the filter bag before or during operation to produce the early breakage of the filter bag that should not occur. In addition, during the use of the bag filter, the bag filter had been caught fire or even exploded. Carbon black industry contains a lot of combustible gas such as CO, H2, CH4 and so on. If a lot of oxygen enters the bag filter, it is easy to fire or explode. In the process of application, we should consider bag filter control and system operation from technological conditions, so as to ensure safety in production.
