Last year, the country produced more than 400 million tons of iron and saved 200kg water per ton of iron. If the dry bag type dust removal technology is used to purify blast furnace gas, it will save more than 0.8 billion tons of water and reduce nearly 0.8 million tons of wastewater discharge. The filter material of bag filter used for blast furnace gas purification is made of Nuo Mexes needle felt abroad. In China, the high temperature resistant filter material is made of glass fiber and aramid fiber. China's blast furnace gas purification using dry bag dust removal technology is small blast furnace, from dozens of M3, 100m3, 380m3 to 750m3 blast furnace and so on. These small and medium sized blast furnaces are not very stable, and the flue gas temperature is relatively high, sometimes exceeding 200 degrees Celsius.

Nuo Mexes filter material can not withstand high temperatures above 200 degrees, plus the price is relatively high, which is not suitable for China.  Chinese experts and enterprises have developed flommus filter materials for the working conditions of medium and small blast furnace. The composite filter is produced by mixing aramid fiber and glass fiber. Applied to blast furnace gas cleaning dry bag filter, the effect is very good, and can withstand high temperatures above 260 C. The accuracy of filtration is relatively high, and the emission concentration of smoke and dust is <5mg/m3, which greatly improves the quality of blast furnace gas. The average life expectancy of filter bags is more than 1 and a half years, and the price is relatively low. It has been widely recognized by iron and steel enterprises. 1000m3, 2000m3, 3200m3 and even 5000m3 large and medium sized blast furnaces are all using fluorometh glass fiber composite filter material.
